European Leaders Star in Classic Movies

The world’s leading movie magazine of the UK asked its readers to let their imagination flourish and upload their own movie-version of the Eurozone crisis.

More particularly, movie fans were called to express their personal opinion on the financial crisis and the European leaders by making a new, uniquely creative composite poster by cutting and juxtaposing different famous movies posters.

One of the biggest stars in most of the impressively creative posters is no other than the former GR PM George Papandreou, as well as the Greek debt crisis.

For example, George Papandreou and Silvio Berlusconi experience an unaccepted love affair in “Broke Banks Mountain” (original title: Brokeback Mountain).

George Papandreou becomes Oscar-winner Hillary Swank in “Thrillion Euro baby” (original title: Million dollar baby).

French PM Nicholas Sarkozy turns into tough James Bond agent in “Quantum of Euro Policy” (original title: Quantum of Solace).

While the President of the Hellenic republic Karolos Papoulias is also being featured in the poster of “Greece” as a new John Travolta (original title: Grease).

Other inspired titles include wordplays, such as “For a Handful of Euros” (For a Handful of Dollars), the Skint stones (The Flintstones) starring George Papandreou, Berlusconi (Burlesque) starring the homonymous Italian politician, “Finding Euro” as in for “Finding Nemo” and “Euro Sick Park” as a sequel of all time classic “Jurassic Park”.
