Champions League – Fetfatzidis Strike Earns Olympicos Victory‎

Substitute Giannis Fetfatzidis kept alive Olympiakos’ chances of qualifying for the knockout stage of the Champions League, firing a half-volley into the bottom corner Wednesday to give the Greek club a 1-0 win over Marseille.
Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda made a string of fine saves to keep the scoreline level until the 82nd minute when 20-year-old Fetfatzidis’s strike handed Olympiacos a deserved victory.
Victory for Olympiacos would keep their qualification hopes alive but the Greek side faced an ominous task, with Marseille having conceded just one goal in their last five Champions League home games.
Olympiakos hosts Arsenal on Dec. 6 while Marseille visits Dortmund.
