Three Greek Students to Take Part in World Robot Olympiad in Abu Dhabi

The 2011 World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Competition is a worldwide robotics competition. Participants must progress through a number of qualifying stages before they can be selected to participate in the 2011 WRO final.

Participants in the 2011 WRO final must abide by the general rules of the competition, focusing on the category they are participating in and any specific rules associated with that category. The specific rules contain information that generally changes each year, such as the theme, specific challenges, and information about special exhibition competitions.

This year’s competition is being held in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates and three students from Greek schools (areas of Aminteo, Ptolemaida and Athens) are going to take part.

The three schools secured 1st place during the 3rd Panhellenic Robot Competition with teachers, while the are going to participate in the Abu Dhabi competition among 35 countries worldwide in 3 different categories, namely elementary, secondary and high-school categories.
