Victoria Hislop and Other Eminent People Provide Support to Greece

Artists and other eminent people have become special ‘ambassadors’ of Greece abroad, providing support to Greece during these bad circumstances.
Victoria Hislop, author of “The Island”, the biologist Hans Jerrentrup, the German historian Leonora Seeling and the famous band ‘The Prodigy’ comfort Greeks on their own special way.
Victoria Hislop has recently stated, “Greeks can pull through current economic crisis, if they believe in it and cooperate in order to achieve this”. Victoria has also experienced new measures imposed by Greek Government, since she pays the extraordinary tax in Greece because she has recently purchased a home in Crete Island.
Moreover, the famous British band called ‘The Prodigy’ has created a 5-minute video with scenes from their concerts in Greece in order to express their support to Greece. The video is a music combination of their song named ‘Thunder’ and the Greek National Anthem, while members of the group describe experiences from their concerts in Greece.
German biologist Hans Jerrentrup from Kavala speaks highly of Greece and when asked, he answers that Greece is facing tough times, since there is a cut of approximately 50% to Greek salaries. Jerrentrup also promotes natural conservation in Greece, having organized a workshop for natural conservation and ecology in Greece.
Leonora Seeling, a German historian and author rebels at the critical publications about Greece, asking for the imposition of a special cultural tax so that Greece could be saved.  Leonora Seeling suggests the imposition at a European level of a minimal, symbolic cultural tax of 5 cents on everyone that uses Greek words today. When the German says “idée” the French “idée”, and the English “idea”, the Greece would earn 5 cents.
She is convinced that the European people owe this tax to Greece, without the mental and scientific achievements of which, there would be neither the European civilization nor the European technology, airplanes would not fly nor would ships sail.
