The internationally-renowned Greek musician Yanni, who performed at the Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani on Wednesday night (October 19), said he was so moved by the hardship facing the Thai people due to the flooding that he wanted to help and visit those affected.
Yanni told concert promoters that he wanted to give something back to the people of Thailand before continuing with his tour to Singapore.
On his trip to Bangkok, Yanni met with the Bangkok governor, M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra and helped with filling sandbags along with volunteers at Bangkok’s Flood Relief Center.
”I know the Thai people are very resilient and I know they are going to survive this and this will be taken care of,” said Yanni. ”I have tremendous faith.”
