Greek Students Visit CERN

Forty students from the 4th High School of Serres, Greece had a life experience, they visited the world’s most prestigious research center CERN in Geneva. After the CERN’s acceptance of the application having been sent by the school of Serres, students came to Geneva from the 2nd until the 8th of October.

It was many of the student’s first trip to a European country outside of Greece.  Everyone was in awe at the sight of the world’s biggest Research Center for Particle Physics.

Students and teachers managed to see the famously large accelerator in CERN, Super Proton Synchroton (SPS), and take part in experiments conducted by researchers.

Greek scientists in CERN have been waiting for the arrival of Greek students, who were showed the importance of teamwork with common goals among CERN researchers.
