An Albanian woman was arrested because two kilos of heroin were found in her handbag early on Friday in Iraklion, Crete.
According to police authorities, this was one of the largest quantities of drug substances to be confiscated on the island.
The 32-year-old woman arrived in Iraklion from the port of Piraeus and police conducted an investigation in order to find the intended recipients of the drugs were.
However, no one approached her to receive the drugs, so police just arrested the woman.
