Three Czechs Die in Tourist Caoch Accident in Northern Greece

Three Czech tourists died in a coach accident near Grevena in northern Greece Wednesday, the Star FM Greek radio station has reported and the Czech Embassy in Athens confirmed to CTK.
Two Czech women aged about 25 died instantly and another man died after he was hospitalised.
Another, seriously injured Czech was operated, the Czech embassy staffers said. His health condition is serious, but doctors are optimistic, they added. The Greek police said another seven people had suffered light injuries.
A coach with 21 Czech tourists, mainly the elderly, departed from the road after a collision with another car and overturned.
The tourists were returning from a trip to monasteries in central Greece, Czech consul Jaroslav Zajic said, referring to a testimony of the travel agency’s delegate.
“Someone allegedly crashed into their minibus,” he added.
Star FM reported that at least six ambulances had transported the injured Czech tourists to hospitals in Grevena and Thessaloniki in northern Greece.
After the accident, the coach allegedly started to burn but the fire was extinguished quickly.
