Greece 90th out of142 Countries in Competitiveness

 According to the World Economic Forum, Greece is at the 90th place among 142 countries in terms of competitiveness.
Greece was 7 places higher in 2010.
Greece placed less competitive than Romania, Albania, FYROM, Guatemala and Lebanon. Among the EU members, Greece takes the last place.
The deterioration of the macroeconomic environmental policy is one of the main reasons for this significant drop from last year.
Switzerland still has first place, and the United States of America fell on the 5th place. USA took this place due to the increase of the fiscal deficit.
Singapore came out second, followed by Sweden at 3rd. Finland has gone form 7th place up to 4th place. Germany is 6th, followed by Netherlands and Denmark. Japan is 9th place and the UK 10th.
This research has been published annually for the last 30 years and is based on questionnaires answered by 15,000 executive members of companies.
