A 35 year old was arrested for arson in Thasos. In his confession, he claimed he had psychological problems and said that he wanted to take revenge from the Municipality of Thasos because they had not hired him. The firemen and volunteers in Thasos spotted in time the fires which he lit and in spite of the strong wind they were put out. According to witnesses, the perpetrator threw dung all over the forest and then he lit fire. However, in the past, he had worked as a volunteer fireman.
