Sinodinos to Replace Helen Coonan in Senate for NSW Liberal Party

Rumours say that with Helen Coonan quiting the Senate, Greek Australian politician and NSW Liberal Party president Arthur Sinodinos is likely to take her place. The Liberal Party has made it clear that if Sinodinos wants this position, it’s his for the taking.

Coonan is leaving the Senate due to an illness in her family. In her retirement speech, Senator Coonan urged for more transparency in foreign investment, especially from China.

Sinodinos became president of the NSW Liberal party after an overwhelming show of support by Liberal party delegates in an effort to bring honesty to the party.
