Syriza Plans Protest outside the Syrian Embassy in Athens

SYRIZA is planning a protest at the Syrian embassy in Athens today, July 2, expressing its rage against the murderous attack of the dictatorial regime of Bashar al-Assad against rebel citizens in the city of Hama.
“The Syrian junta, by targeting even children, deprives the population of water, food and electricity, and faces with genocide methods the long heroic revolt of the Syrian people for democracy and social justice, a revolt which is the key link in the chain of Arab riots that have started since last December in Tunisia and have now spread to the state of Israel”, said SYRIZA in a statement.
“As part of the principles of international law, together with the movements of citizens around the world and the communities of Syrians protesting in every European city, we coordinate with the rebellious people of Syria, calling along with them for the resignation of the current regime,” concludes the statement.
