The Council of State has judged the planning permission of 22 luxurious buildings in the area of Stavrokinikta, Chalkidiki as illegal and has given the green light to demolish them. The applications made by the owners asking to pronounce the buildings as legal , was rejected.
Constitution prohibits public or private forest areas to be used for house building purposes. However, judges involved in the case have pointed out that the owners have the right to ask for compensation from the Public Administrator’s office if it persuaded them that the house permits were legal.
