Twenty protesters, Canadians and a few Palestinians, gathered outside the Greek Embassy in Ottawa on Saturday to protest against the decision of the Greek government to block the departure of humanitarian aid vessel to Gaza.
As Director of the Greek Press Office, Theodosis Dimitrakopoulos stated, ”the protest was made without the permission of the police, so when the authorities arrived, the protesters left peacefully”.
Later in the evening, other small groups of protesters appeared in front of the buildings of the General Consulates of Greece in Montreal and Toronto showing their displeasure with the handling of the Greek government on the issue of the humanitarian vessel’s ban regarding Gaza.
