A 
private visit to Rodopi was made by the Turkish Prime Minister’s wife, Emine Erdogan. She was accompanied by the Turkish Minister of State, Egemen Bagis and the candidate member of the AKP, Mehmet Mouezinoglou, who originates from the region.
The government spokesman and MP in Rodopi George Petalotis from Komotini, refused to comment on Erdogan’s visit and described it as private. He also noted that all tourists were welcome to Thrace, as the area needs tourism.
