After last month’s meeting between Greece and Germany in Athens, Deputy Education Minister Fofi Gennimata visited the Education Minister of Bavaria in Munich on Wednesday. The Greek Minister asked for the promotion of both the processes concerning the upgrade of Greek schools, as it had been decided during the meeting. She also asked for the upgrade of the certificate titles, stating that the titles cannot be limited to those of Hauptschule. A common committee will also discuss other issues, such as professional orientation, teachers’ education, certification of knowledge of German and construction of school buildings. The final decisions will be made in the next Greek-Bavarian meeting, which is scheduled to be held by February 2012.
