Julia Gillard mentioned in “Neos Kosmos” that the invitation to Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou to visit Australia remains always open. She said that the government is ready to welcome him whenever he decides to visit the country. “We have talked about this invitation in international forums”, the Australian Prime Minister stated and she added: “We know that Greeks of Australia want to welcome the Prime Minister of Greece. We would be glad to have him here, too. We could renew our friendship bonds with Greece and Greeks here and discuss more issues of mutual interest. We will welcome him whenever he decides to make this journey”.
