Gold Coast Resorts Names Establishments After Greek Islands

The names of popular Greek islands, such as Mykonos, Santorini and Paros, have been given to hotels on the Gold Coast, the most crowded tourist destinations in Australia (Queensland). Many Greek-Australian businessmen have been active there for decades. The names of Greek mountains, such as Olympus and Parnassus have been given to Tasmania, thanks to an English traveler who loved Greece 200 years ago.

The Gold Coast is a lovely place for holidays and every year millions of tourists go there to enjoy the sea, the climate and its overcrowded parks. One of those parks, the largest and the most expensive, will be constructed by “Azzura Pacific Resort” next to the sea, and will be dedicated to the Mediterranean sea, marked by Greek, Italian, Spanish and Turkish elements. The best hotels, restaurants, shops, museums and beaches will be open to the public on a man-made island called Santorini.

Tasmania is one of the last natural “paradises” on earth, with huge parks, protected areas, forests and white sandy beaches.  It has big quantities of fruits and a wide range of wines and sea food, and of course Greek mountains.
