Pianist Panos Karan Performs at Vienna’s Concert Hall

The music loving audience of Vienna, welcomed acclaimed Greek pianist Panos Karan, during a piano recital he gave at the well-known Concert Hall of Vienna.  He presented works of Bach, Liszt, Debussy, Chopin and Granados. The foundation by Panos Karan of the charity organization “Keys of Change” was a unique action. The creation of this organization aims at sharing classical music with people from the isolated villages of the Amazon and founding a sustainable program of music education. The famous Greek artist, transferring a portable piano and with the help of a four-member group started on the 11th of March 2011, the first of the three adventures in the Amazon – from Coca of Ecuador to Iquitos of Peru – and covering more than 800 miles, gave 15 recitals for 15 different indigenous communities. The organization that Panos Karan founded consists of people with different background, who believe that music is one of the simplest, but strongest ways for people all over the world to build peace bridges, establishing and promoting music education in isolated areas of the world.
