Brisbane’s Greek Festival Celebrates 35 Years on May 21st-22nd

TheĀ annual Greek Festival of Brisbane will take place the weekend of the 21st and the 22nd of May. This year the festival will be held in Musgrave Park, where tens of thousands of Australians are expected, as in previous years. The spring Greek Festival is the biggest festival organized by a national immigration community of the whole state of Queensland. ForĀ  more than 35 years, itĀ has givenĀ the chance, not only to Greeks in the area to promote their culture and have fun, but to alsoĀ  give the opportunity for other non-Greek Ā citizens toĀ learn more aboutĀ the aspects of Greek culture and its traditions.

Visitors to to the festival can expect plenty ofĀ  lively dancing and singing and even learn famous Greek dances such as the Zorba and the Kalamatiano. There will alsoĀ be food stalls with traditional Greek food, including haloumi cheese, dolamades and of course the famous souvlaki!

Members of Queensland’s Greek communities invite everyone to come togetherĀ and promise a weekend of festivities and celebrations. Join them for the very best in Hellenic hospitality.
