Greece – The World of Art


Visitors to Athens this month who love fine art, can enjoy two exceptional art fairs in and around the city. Art Athina, the first to take place – 12-15 May, will be held at the Faliro Pavilion on Poseidonas Avenue. The annual art fair is one of the longest-lasting contemporary art fairs in Europe and attracts thousands of art lovers from around the world. The exhibition is free and more than 350 artists represented by 58 galleries from 9 countries (Greece, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland and United Kingdom), will showcase their paintings, sculptures, photography and video art. The second art fair- The Athens World Fine Art Fair, will be held – 20-23 May, at Zappeion Hall (5 euro: concessions: 2 euro). The exhibition will take on an international dimension with approximately 70 of the world’s top dealers in antiques, modern classics, contemporary works, photography and high-end jewellery attending to showcase their exquisite collections.
