“Alexis: A Greek Tragedy” Play by Italian Troupe in Paris

Currently, an Italian troupe is performing in Paris, a play inspired and at the same time dedicated to Alexis Grigoropoulos. The play was inspired by the events of December 2008. Its title is “Alexis: A Greek Tragedy”, which is clearly connected to ancient Greek tragedy. The members of troupe “Motus” give their best at “Parc de la Villette” theatre, while the poster depicting the silhouette of the young man running is quite representative of the play. The performance includes elements concerning the financial crisis.  Greece is characterized as the “laboratory of Europe”, which everyone observes in order to deal with other fragile economies, such as Spain, Portugal and Italy.
