Daskalopoulos’ Artwork Collection Featured in Guggenheim Museum

“The Luminous Interval” is the title of the first great presentation of Dimitris Daskalopoulos’ collection, one of the most important private contemporary art collections around the world. The exhibition includes about sixty artworks of thirty internationally acclaimed artists and will be hosted in the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao from the April 12th through September 11th. “The Saviors of God”, a book written by Nikos Kazantzakis inspired D. Daskolopoulos to give this title to the exhibition, which will be housed in the second floor of the museum and in part of the first. It should be mentioned that the Guggenheim Museum is currently one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. Dimitris Daskalopoulos owns one of the most important private contemporary art collections in the world, which includes more than 400 works of 170 artists. Over the last 15 years, he has lent more than 140 artworks to more than 120 museums around Europe and the USA.
