The new mayor of Thessaloniki, Yiannis Boutaris, visited Phanar. Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomeos extended wishes for a successful tenure in the municipality of Thessaloniki ,”We wish a good tenure for the benefit of the people of Thessaloniki,” the Patriarch stated. Boutaris termed the meeting, “Yet another small stone in the very close relations that the municipality wants to develop with the Ecumenical Patriarcate.”
Boutaris visited Istanbul to visit Doug Patterson’s exhibition, organized by the Mount Athos Center and by Zografio Lykeio.
