Immediate evacuation of the Athens Law School was demanded earlier this morning from the Chancellor of Athens University, Theodosis Pelegrinis. The School remains occupied by immigrant groups, who are requesting political asylum from the nation. Greek media blames the University’s administration for not taking instant measures. Groups of doctors who have inspected the School have found signs of vandalism and failure to comply with hygienic rules.
The Chancellor has called the Minister of Internal Affairs Giannis Ragkousis, the Deputy Minsiter Anna Dalara anf the Mayor of Athens Giorgos Kaminis to meet with the University to find solutions. He also said that this is a matter of immigration policy which shouldn’t harm the School.
