The Greek-Austrian Union, with the cooperation of the Austrian Friends of Greece organized a “Greek Night of Literature and Music”. The night was dedicated to the fiction written by the famous poet Konstantinos Cavafis, in a Vienna gallery. Maria Mavromichali, president of the Union talked about the personality of the poet and underlined the necessity of the creation of a Greek cultural center in Vienna. C.P. Cavafy Professor of Classical Studies and Comparative Literature in Michigan University, Vassilios Lambropoulos presented a lecture titled: “The Unknown Aspects of K. Cavafis”. The Austrian actor Martin Thomas read several passages in German.
