Turkey Ready to Cooperate with Greece Regarding Aegean Sea

The head of Turkish diplomacy, Ahmet Davutoglu, answered a journalist’s question regarding if he is ready to do business with the Greek Prime Minister concerning the Aegean Sea.  He answered: “Of course, we are already doing it!”. This statement was made during a reception given by Greece’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Anastasis Mitsialis, at the Onassis Center, on Tuesday evening.
Davutoglu, accompanied by the Permanent Representative of Turkey to the UN, Ertugrul Apakan accepted Mitsialis’ invitation.  He also had the chance to visit the exhibition: “Heroes, Mortal and Myths in Ancient Greece”. Talking to the journalists, Davutoglu stated: “It’s a great pleasure visiting this exhibition and meeting with my Greek friends in the Greek community of the U.S.A. This is our common heritage and I thank you very much for the invitation. I felt like being in the Mediterranean sea, in Troy, in Athens, in both coasts of the Aegean sea. As an academician, I really enjoyed the exhibition”.
During the reception, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey shook hands with guests.  Among them were the Permanent Representative of the Cypriot Republic to the UN, Ambassador Minas Chatzimichail and several Greek expatriates.
