Gregory Orphanoudakis, who portrays tavern owner Paul in the series “The Island” will be resolving differences with a German company through the German courts. The actor in 2005 signed a contract with a German advertising company for a leading promotional spot for ouzo. It was a spot that he was paid for and to his knowledge, was for that one time. However the company is still using the advertisement without paying him the money that he is due.
This case will be tried next week before the Court. Orphanoudakis states: “I am angry with the Germans because they feel that they can degrade as a country, but they do not know how to be proper with their obligations.”
