As unbelievable as it may sound, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Kevin Rudd is now studying the works of Nikos Kazantzakis in Chinese! Rudd who is fluent in Chinese, has recently read “Zorba the Greek” in the language. The book was given to the Australian Minister by the translator who knew his passion for the Chinese language. The book was translated into Chinese by Li Chenggui. Chenggui is fluent in Greek and was a newsman for the Chinese media sector in Athens.
