Corfu Police Launch Manhunt for Rapist

The local Corfu police department has launched a manhunt in order to find an ex-prisoner termed “Wildman”.  He has been accused of raping four women; three of them British nationals. The 37 years old man is probably hiding out in the woodland near the southern popular resort of Lefkimmi which is about 30 miles away from Corfu’s main city.  The main city is where the sexual assaults took place over the last six weeks.
Reportedly two of the British victims claimed that they were assaulted outside the town, while the third one declared that the incident took place after meeting him at a bar. As far as the fourth victim is concerned, she was the suspect’s  former girlfriend.  The police are now further investigating to arrest the assailant before another tragic incident takes place. Corfu historically constitutes a large British tourist following each year.  However its image has started to decline after a number of rapes have been reported in recent years.  Many reports have come from Lefkimmi which is notorious abroad as the town of partying and alcohol.
