Intermittent Blackouts on Aegina Island

The island of Aegina experienced three consecutive days of intermittent blackouts due to damaged underwater cables.  Aegina is just a few kilometers off the Attica coast in the Saronic Gulf and is a popular tourist and weekend destination,
The island is expected to experience a smoother supply of power, as PPC announced that it would be installing power generators on the island and all power supplies will be restored. Authorities also confirmed that the damaged cables will be repaired, along with an investigation into the cause of the incident.
