At 13:02 p.m an anomymous call triggered a bomb scare in The Ministry of Finance just when The Finance Minister was about to address the media. The call however turned out to be a hoax. The caller claimed that a bomb had been planted in The Ministry and that it was set to explode at 13:30 p.m. At that time The Greek Minister for the Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping Louka Katseli and Troika experts were also inside The Ministry in a meeting. The police were alerted immediately and the building was evacuated where a search was conducted. Due to the upheaval caused the scheduled press conference on the outcome of the two week inspection visit by The European Commission, European Central Bank and The International Monetary Fund was postponed. A few minutes after 14:30 Niki street traffic was running smoothly.
