The Pergamon ancient theater in Turkey will “speak” ancient Greek again, as it will host the event “Reference to Prometheus – the vision of Sikelianos in Turkey”.
Under the initiative of the “Friends of the Municipal Theater of Piraeus” , (a non-commercial organization) and under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the ancient Greek language will be heard again in Pergamon, with the composition of three top figures in this event: this of the great composer of the early 20th century Consantinos Psachos who sets Aischilus to music, Mikis Theodorakis and this of the visionary Eva Sikelianos.
The stage direction is by Elias Malandris, music by Costas Karamanos, stage design by Vangi Burbidge and choreography by Vassia Aggelidou.
The lady of the Greek theater Antigone Valakou, the ambassador for Peace and Culture Mario Frangoulis and a team of experienced artists, actors and musicians will revive Prometheus in the Pergamon ancient theater.
