Hirings related to organizations to be probed as three prosecutors have been appointed to investigate allegations regarding the illegal recruitment of dozens of people to state bodies under the previous conservative government.
The alleged hirings relate to three organizations: Ktimatologio, the body overseeing the creation of a national land register Agrotima, which promotes agritourism and another organization that promotes external trade. According to the inspectors’ findings, 139 illegal hirings were allegedly made for Ktimatologio alone, 39 of those in the countdown to general elections last September.
The probes were ordered on the basis of data gathered by inspectors from the Interior Ministry’s public administration department
