The President of the Hellenic Republic, Karolos Papoulias welcomed the President of the American Hellenic Institute (AHI), Nick Larygakis and a group of students of the American Hellenic Institute who are visiting Greece and Cyprus.
The President welcomed the delegation speaking of a “new and great hope of Hellenism in America, a dynamic Hellenism, which has achieved a lot in a foreign homeland and made it their home, taking many positing things from it”. He also said to the visitors that the motherland is proud of their achievements and asked them, “because Greece is small and powerless in comparison with the US”, to help as much as they can as young scientists “the small and powerless, yet bearing a brilliant history, homeland, Greece”
