The solidarity that the Greek population of South Australia, showed to the incoming immigrants was something that the Australian press could not miss.
« The Advertiser» newspaper published an article on the help provided by older immigrants, through their organizations, to the younger ones. Parallel, it is noted that the cooperation between the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia, which shares the know how as well as the diggings, and the Sudanese and Liberian community, aimed at their soft settlement and their integration in the Australian society.

According to the General Director of the Greek Orthodox Community in South Australia, Nikos Kuriazopoulos: “that movement constituted a conscious effort to play the role of an exemplar for the incoming people in Australia. They ask general questions. They come to the unknown Australian environment and we just help them”.
