15 MP’s of PASOK Go Against The Minister of Labor

15 MP’s of PASOK are drawing the ‘red line’ with a question towards the Minister of Labor, Mr. Loverdo, regarding the Insurance Bill. “According to the information that has seeing the light of day, we have the impression that the ‘troika’s’ ( International Monetary Fund, European Commission and European Central Bank) demands, will result to almost the entire savings that will be commissioned over the next years, will result from the dramatic reduction of pensions,” the MP’s say.
The question was compiled after the initiative of Mr. P. Koukoulopoulou and Mr. O. Kwnstantinopoulou and bears the signatures of Ch. Prwtopappa, E. Nasiwka, J. Amoiridi, D. Karydi, M. Katrini, B. Geranidi, N. Salagianni, Mrs Sophia Giannaka et.
The document refers to the issues that the troika has put on the table. The memorandum states that according to what is asked to be done, that average annual replenishment rate will reach the 1.2%. Consequently, the final replenishment rate, following the addition of the basic syntax will reach nearly the 63% to 64%.
If the government endorses the troika’s suggestions, the replenishment percentage will be restrained below 50% for 40 years of insurance. Given that not everyone can ensure 40 years of work and insurance, means that the replenishment rates will be below 48%.
It should be noted here that with the current system, the average is just over 70%. In accordance with the above reasoning, the pensions that may arise, it will be close to the minimum pension for the majority of beneficiaries. This will lead the public system to collapse.
The issue of supplementary pensions is outside the memorandum. If the troika tries to measure supplementary pensions, it should be made clear that contributions to the supplementary pensions take into account only to employers and employees.
According to the acquired social security rights, it must be noted that the memorandum does not have the power to overturn the law or legal obligations stemming from international and other rules.
