Confiscated Greek School Buildings serve as Europian Union offices in Constantinople

The newly established Office of Turkey for the European Union in Constantinople was housed in an old Greek school which was confiscated by the Turkish state ten years ago.
Last December, Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan- in the presence of his counterpart from FYROM N. Gruevski- opened the General Secretariat Office of European Affairs. The exact responsibility of the Secretariat is to monitor the country’s democratization towards the European Union.
As the President of the World Confederation of Constantinople Nick Ouzounoglou explains that there have been memorandums, and the NTUA has already made an appeal on the matter to the European Court of Human Rights:
“This is an extreme case. The European Commission agrees to provide such representation at a minority institution that was seized illegally. The Treaty of Lausanne systematically targeted for seizure of Community institutions, with an illegal-legitimate way, “says Mr. Ouzounoglou.
