The exhibition on Asia Minor hosted at the Hall of the Institute for Philosophical Studies, in Naples of Italy is officially opening today, under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in the city and the World Council of Hellenes Abroad.
The Institute for Philosophical Studies of Naples is one of the most important academic institutions of Italy, of recognized status on a world wide basis. It was established in 1975, under the auspices of Accademia dei Lincei from Enrico Cerulli, Elena Croce, Pietro Piovani, Giovanni Pugliese Carratelli and Gerardo Marotta.
On the occasion of March 25th, and the forthcoming exhibition, the Hellenic Community of Naples and Campania organized on March 27th a lecture of the President of the Academy of Athens, Professor Constantinos Svolopoulos at the Institute for Philosophical Studies.
The lecture of Professor Svolopoulos was attended by the Ambassador of Greece in the Vatican, M. Hiskais, the Greek Consul General in Naples, E. Apostolakis, Major General Konstantinos Kostoulas of NATO, the President of the Greek Community, G. Kountouris and the Members of the Board of Directors, the Priest of the Hellenic Church, Archimandrite G. Antonopoulos, members of the Diaspora and Philhellenes.
The President of the Federation of Greek Communities and Brotherhoods of Italy, Nikolaos Mparkas, was represented by the Secretary, Giannis Korinthios.
