The Taste of Greece starts in London

DB006071After the successful launch of the ‘Taste of Greece’ on the 9th of February 2010, The Greek National Tourist Office will be kicking off the promotion with a week of Greek gastronomy starting on the 22nd of February at the Cookbook Cafe at the Intercontinental Park Lane, the exciting new casual restaurant at the InterContinental London Park Lane.

Cookbook Cafe features over 200 original cookery books ranging from rare antiques to modern day collections. Cooking stations are centrally located, allowing the restaurant’s artisan chefs to demonstrate their skills and interact with the customers. With an atmosphere that is casual and comfortable, staff that are friendly and informed and a bright and inviting decor, this venue is a breath of fresh air.

The ‘Taste of Greece’ menu will start at lunchtime on Monday the 22nd of February, will continue through dinner every day until the finale of Sunday brunch on the 28th of February. The gastronomic lunch menu will include 3 main courses (meat, fish and vegetarian) which will be served with a glass of Ouzo or Mastic. It will follow into dinner with a full a La Carte menu and set mezze menu to be featured at the top table all of which you can wash down with award winning Greek wines. They will round off the week with a ‘Taste of Greece’ Sunday brunch which will include roasts and authentic Greek dishes as well as soft drinks, Ouzo and Greek wines.
