Alexa Davalos as Andromeda in upcoming Clash of the Titans film

Alexa DavalosAlexa Davalos was born in France, but is of Greek descent.  She speaks both Greek and French fluently.   She was born into a family of actors. Her mother was an actress and her grandfather, Richard Davalos starred next to James Dean in East of Eden. She started out as a model, but shifted her career into acting and moved to L.A. In 2004, Davalos got her first big break as playing the heroine, Kyra in The Chronicles of Riddick, starring Vin Diesel.

The beautiful Alexa Davalos landed a role as Andromeda in the upcoming Warner Bros. film, Clash of the Titans. According to Greek mythology, Andromeda was a princess who was chained to a rock to be sacrificed to a sea monster because the gods wanted to punish her mother for bragging.  She is finally saved from death by Perseus.

Alexa worked with director, Louis Leterrier and actors Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes on the film which will be released in theaters on March 26, 2010.

According to the film’s official website in Clash of the Titans ” The ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) Is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize  power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on Earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, He will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.”
