Greek carrier Aegean Airlines introduces flights to Vienna

Vienna International Airport is starting the winter season 2009/10 with a new destination, a larger number of connections to Eastern and Western Europe and a new airline.
These additions can be seen in the VIE winter flight plan, which is now available and takes effect on 25 October 2009.

New destination: Karlsruhe/Baden Baden Air Berlin will introduce 12 flights per week to Karlsruhe/Baden Baden starting on 25 October 2009.

Seven airlines increase frequencies to Eastern and Western Europe The offering of flights on existing routes will also be expanded: Air Berlin will add 12 flights to Nuremberg and five flights to Düsseldorf with the start of the winter flight plan. Fly Niki is increasing its routes in South-eastern Europe to include daily connections (except on Saturday) to Sofia, Bucharest Otopeni and Belgrade. The Romanian carrier Blue Air has raised the number of frequencies to Bucharest Baneasa to 12 weekly connections and also added two flights per week to Suceava via Baia Mare. The Spanish airline Vueling/Clickair has increased the number of frequencies to Barcelona to five flights per week. Transaero will service Moscow‘s Domodedovo Airport seven times per week beginning with the winter flight plan. The Vienna – Friedrichshafen route will receive three additional flights per week by Intersky, and the Italian airline Air Dolomiti has increased its connections to Rimini from three to seven per week.

Aegean Airlines launches flights to Vienna The Greek carrier Aegean Airlines will introduce five flights per week to Athens beginning on 10 December 2009. Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft will be used on this route.

Key information on VIE The pocket flight plan covers the period from 25 October 2009 to 27 March 2010 and provides an exact overview of direct flights and selected connections as well as useful information on Vienna International Airport. This plan contains information on 249 flight connections to and from Vienna. A total of 25,000 copies were produced, and a pdf-version is also available for download under www.viennaairport.com/timetable. The information provided in the flight plan can be updated by facts and figures from the Internet.
