About

*We are constantly searching for people around the globe that are proud of their Greek heritage, or are involved in their local Greek communities to contribute articles and news stories to our site. Because we like to be upfront and honest we have to tell you that unfortunately these positions are not paid. They may turn to paid positions after some time as the site grows. However, we will try to promote your name and reports as much as we can. If you are interested please contact us.

GREEKREPORTER.com is the first portal for Greek people and people of Greek descent that live and work outside of their homeland. With a network of journalists, photographers and camera crews in the largest “Greek Centers” around the globe we are determined to become the Greek news source for everything that matters to the Greeks abroad. The saying which states that “there is another Greece outside of Greece” is something that we strongly believe. There isn’t a media organization to serve the Greeks abroad as a whole and their informational and publicity needs. Here you will find news, interviews and articles from these Greek centers of the world. Greek Reporter will gather news only from, and for these people. We will also present and introduce you to many successful Greeks of diaspora that have made a difference in their fields.

Until now there was not a Greek news source in the web, in print or on television that covered the Greeks abroad as a whole. There are many different Greek media outlets in many different countries which work separately. Some of them are good but stay local. Today we need something glocal (global+local) and this here is achieved with all the different portals which work on a local level (Hollywood, USA, Australia, Canada, Europe, World, Greece) and can be visited from the main page of Greek Reporter. Our goal is to build a brand name which will be recognized and trusted by Greeks in different countries.

How it started...
Greek Reporter is an award winning project (Presidential Award of CSUN) that started on the grounds of California State University Northridge. The idea belongs to Anastasios Papapostolou, a recent graduate of CSU Northridge, and editor in chief for the Greek Reporter. Anastasios has been writing for magazines and newspapers since he was 14 years old, and has also worked for numerous TV and radio shows. If you want to learn more visit his website www.anastasios.tv .
